Beginning of Revival

This past Tuesday morning, God revealed to me that He is releasing the grace for us to see miracles, as a sign of the beginning stages of revival in our church. Why is this important? Because the accompanying power behind an outpouring of God's spirit is the power over the fruit of darkness. In Genesis 1, Adam and Eve were made in the likeness of God for intimacy with Him and for dominion over the Garden of Eden. Then in verse 28 of chapter 1, God tells them to multiply and fill the earth and subdue it. Subdue means to bring under control.

From this, it is implied that evil existed before the Garden and then outside of the Garden of Eden. God's intention was, through man, to expand the reality of the Garden to the ends of the earth, by way of faithfulness.  We all know the rest of this story though; Adam and Eve chose to give their authority to the devil, when they ate the apple, and throughout the rest of the Old Testament, man was stripped of it's ability to rule over darkness.

Then Jesus comes, lives a perfect life, is tempted by the devil in the same way that Adam and Eve were, resists the devil, goes through death, burial, and resurrection, and gives us back our place of authority in the earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit. In other words, God sent his son to give the rest of his sons and daughters back their original position to rule until the kingdom of this earth becomes the kingdom of our Lord. Our purpose never changed. Our choices just stripped us of the power to fulfill our purpose. Every time we bow down to fear, we eat the apple. Every time we bow down to sickness, we eat the apple. Every time we bow down to lack, we eat the apple. Anything you allow to stick around in your life will take root and actually strip you of your authority in Christ.

We are going to be a church that leverages the prayer, "on earth as it is in heaven" into the city to not only heal people's souls (salvation), but heal people's bodies (healing) because sickness is to the body what sin is to the soul. There is no room for either in the kingdom of heaven.

So this Sunday, whatever you come in with will get prayed over. We are going into 2018 with our eyes set on Him, the author and perfecter of our faith. I can't wait for you guys to hear more about what God has shown me, in regards to 2018. In God's words, "2018 will be the year heaven and earth become one and revival fires are kindled again."

How freeing is it to realize you don't have to worry about the things that are in your life to weigh you down and stress you out? You have legal, kingdom, authority over ALL powers of the enemy.

I can't wait for Sunday!
