Dark and Light

I’ve been publicly quiet for a while when it comes to the state of our nation. The reason for this is NOT that I don’t care; I care a ton. The reason for this is that I refuse to speak up until I see where we are as the governing body of America… The church.

The church (Ekklesia in Greek) is God’s governing body of believers, filled with power and authority through the Holy Spirit, to cause the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdoms of our God and His Christ. Could it be that the reason darkness is having a field day has nothing to do with the fact that we’re in the “last days?” We’ve actually been in the “last days” since Acts 2. Last is not literally the last ones before something else. Last is last in nature. The days prophets prophesied over for centuries are here and aren’t going anywhere.

The ONLY reason darkness is running wild is because there is a lack of light. If God’s governing body would govern with power and authority, darkness would be stripped of power. Abortion, gay marriage, sexual orientation, atheism, etc. are all directly connected to the lack of authority God’s ekklesia is operating in. America is home to “Sunday comfort, Spirit deflecting,” christianity. Most churches and leaders in America believe in cessationism (all gifts of the spirit have ceased), and that a rapture is coming to rescue us from having to be or do anything.

Sorry, those are both highly inaccurate and of the same spirit that nailed Jesus to a cross because He couldn’t possibly be “the Messiah.”

36 “Concerning that day and exact hour, no one knows when it will arrive, not even the angels of heaven—only the Father knows. 37 For it will be exactly like it was in the days of Noah when the Son of Man appears. 38 Before the flood, people lived their lives eating, drinking, marrying, and having children. 39 They didn’t realize the end was near until Noah entered the ark, and then suddenly, the flood came and took them all away in judgment. It will happen the same way when the Son of Man appears.

Matthew 24:36-39

What happened in the days of Noah? The wicked were taken and the righteous remained. So while so many Christians get excited when darkness is moving because it’s a sign of “the end,” understand you may want to rethink wanting to be taken away. You’ll pass Him on His way down. I want to remain. I want to be left behind with my King. I want to reign with Him forever.

Want to end the rule of darkness in America? Get so hidden in devotion that you manifest a measure of power and authority that casts those demons out once and for all. The most effective, and only, way to end darkness is to drown it in light.

The Great Awakening is here.
