Community Redemption

The ancient world wasn't filled with individualistic thinking like ours, it was communal. The charge against the evil deeds of the Israelites, in Isaiah 1 and elsewhere, wasn't individual works; the charge was that they had stopped caring about "we" and started solely caring about "me."
